Michigan Stained Glass Census

About

The Michigan Stained Glass Census, begun in 1992, is a statewide survey of architectural stained glass, sponsored by the Michigan State University Museum. With the help of volunteers, the Census is locating, recording, and photographing stained glass windows. The information for over 1100 Michigan buildings in this ongoing project is maintained in a computerized archive……..religious and non-religious buildings such as libraries and city halls are included. It is important to honor the work of Michigan’s stained glass artists and studios, from the Detroit Stained Glass Works (1861-1970) to artists and studios currently active.
