The Michigan Stained Glass Census is a statewide survey of stained or faceted glass windows, sponsored by the Michigan State University Museum. Volunteers throughout the state are documenting windows in churches, synagogues, homes, public buildings and other locations. The information collected by volunteers is maintained in a computerized archive at the MSU Museum. In addition to creating a permanent inventory of our state’s stained glass treasures, the Census is encouraging greater appreciation and preservation of Michigan’s stained glass heritage.
