In this class, we will arrange patterns of threads, shards, and frit on sheets of glass. We will fuse the glass, cut the sheets apart, and have fun reassembling the pieces in surprising ways. Our focus will be to create designs so that the colors “talk to each other.” We will use a vitrograph kiln to produce glass thread in many colors and varieties. During the workshop, Janet will demonstrate how to build a vitrograph kiln.
